Fenugreek tea help to reduce high blood sugar levels, high cholesterol etc. Fenugreek was also used for treating stomach upset, lowered appetite, constipation, heartburn, erectile dysfunction and other ailments from ancient times.

Its quite worth adding this beneficial tea to our diet. Lets start with this simple recipe fenugreek tea.

Fenugreek Tea Recipe

Ingredients
Fenugreek seeds - 1 teaspoon
Water - 1 cup
Green tea leaves / herbs - optional

Fenugreek Tea Preparation
  • Crush the fenugreek seeds and soak it in freshly boiled water for an hour.
  • After an hour, strain the tea and drink it hot or cold.
  • It will be hightly effective, if the soaking time is more than 2-3 hours
  • If you need sweetened you can also add a spoonful of honey.

Side effects or Disadvantages of Fenugreek:


  • Excess intake of fenugreek seeds during pregnancy could put you in risk of miscarriage or premature childbirth.
  • Fenugreek can affect blood sugar levels so watch for signs of low blood sugar and monitor your blood sugar carefully while consuming fenugreek.
