Fibre Diet Fights PCOS

Fibre is an essential component of our daily diet. Fast foods and "quick fixes" lack fibre and nutrients.

PCOS has a well established relationship with Metabolic Syndrome. Metabolic Syndrome refers to a group of factors including increased waistline, Insulin Resistance and hormonal changes. These are high risk factors that can lead to Type 2 Diabetes, coronary artery disease and stroke.

Researches have found that a high fibre diet can reduce the chances of Metabolic Syndrome in PCOS sufferers. So, including a lot of "whole" foods [vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, and whole grains and legumes] can serve as a boon to PCOS sufferers.

Well, not just teens, anyone can benefit from a high fibre diet as it keeps you full for long, reduce hunger pangs, sponge up and clean the GI tract, rids off piles and constipation etc.
