The most important micro-nutrients are vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin B, Vitamin K, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium. The foods that are rich in the following micro-nutrients are discussed below.

Magnesium is important for bone health, energy generation and clotting blood. Magnesium is needed for the absorption of potassium, vitamin C and calcium.


  • The vegetables rich in magnesium are pumpkin, amaranth leaves, okra, peas, spinach and artichokes.
  • The soybeans, brown rice, cashews, pea nuts, almonds, white beans, tofu, brazil nuts, black beans and great northern beans, avocado, banana, kiwi, watermelon are rich in magnesium.


Calcium is needed to get strong bones and teeth. Calcium is required for insomnia and nerves strength.


  • The vegetables rich in calcium are amaranth leaves, kale, Swiss chard.
  • The fruits rich in calcium are dates. Grape fruit, blackberries, orange, pomegranate and prickly pears. The nuts rich in calcium are almonds, brazil nuts, oats, sesame seeds, pistachios and wheat hard white.


Potassium helps to maintain blood pressure and proper heart function with healthy body growth and maintenance.


  • The vegetables rich in potassium are amaranth leaves, potatoes, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, bamboo shoots, bok choy, french beans.
  • The nuts rich in potassium are almonds, amaranth, brazil nuts, hazelnuts, oats, pistachios, sesame seeds.
  • The fruits that are rich in potassium are water melon, avocado, bananas, breadfruit, dates, guava, papaya, pomegranate, pricklypear, kiwi and cherries.
The potassium rich foods are helpful to avoid body part failure in future.

Fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins, minerals, nutrients, iron and calcium that are good for health. Eat fruits and vegetables because these improve heart functions, glow skin, improve mental health, remove acne, make strong bones, give energy and prevent from many diseases like diabetes, cancer, heart attack and skin allergies.
