Hi friends!

I have been a foodie, in the sense I go for only tasty foods always! The more delicious it is,the more I will eat.

But after having a kid, my perception towards food changed, ie. now I am looking for healthy & yummy foods!

Let me share the healthy habits that I am trying to adopt now-a-days!

Dear Penmai friends, Plz share urs too!

I have reduced buying/eating noodles as such. As it contains maida which is bad for health. (yup, a difficult task!)





Later I also heard that the intake of maida too much results in increase in blood sugar and body weight gain. So, I am trying to use less Maida in cooking now.






I am using Wheat instead of Maida for many items like this.

Other tips:

Minimising Salt and Sugar in cooking


Avoiding Unhealthy chat items ie, over spicy and over masala that too eating outside





Chips and other deep fried oil items.


More and more of vegetables and fruits. Daily two types of vegetables and a bowl of fruits is must.

Usage of more Sprouts!

Really good thread deepa. yeah maida is very much bad to our health. I heared from a doctor, that we have to use white coloured items in a very little amount only.Like, sugar, salt, maida, milk, white rice etc.. etc.. When i think that yeah ofcourse its really true na.

I left out Rice. thanks for reminding. Even our doctor has advised us to reduce intake of rice

Nice thread Deepa, my mum also always advising me to avoid white foods since it will be more good for our health....
