Desk jobs may donate to weight gain and obesity because of their Stationary nature. Nevertheless, controlling weight gain is as easy as having a healthy and balanced diet.

If you’ve been working, Possibilities are there that you munch on Chips, Candies, junk foods and sandwiches every day which can lead to a lot of excess calories. Instead of these, Choose Snacks that are filled with low calories. Here are a few Easy to Carry Snacks from home!

Dry fruits are considered as an excellent source of various nutrients and can be eaten any time of the day. Always have a packet of mixed nuts in our bags or Keep one in your office desk. Eat a handful a day , It can also help you fight off candy cravings.

  • Sprouts are enriched with antioxidants, protein, vitamins, and amino acids. Prepare mixed sprouts of Bengal gram, Mung, chana, etc at home or buy them at various stores these days.
  • For a Quick Snack, Just squeeze some lemon juice and add finely chopped onions and tomatoes, a dash of masala . This Healthy Snack is low in Calories & high in Fibers! They do keep full for a longer time.

Yes Home-made popcorn is also a healthy snack. Prepare it at home without butter or oil and have it in the evening. Its wholegrain and packs in fiber to keep one full for a longer time.

Bhel is low in calories & an easy to carry Snack. Its definitely healthy. Before you eat, Mix Bhel/Puffed rice, with some veggies such as onion, tomato, green chilies, coriander, etc and topped with peanuts. Carry Puffed rice & veggies in another box!

Fruit salad Enriches with antioxidants which help to to protect our body from disease and ageing. It also packs in a bag of nutrition. Mix fruits you like together and a bit of chaat masala. It is fine but stay away from cream, etc. Just take care to store them in a refrigerator in your office till you have them.

Just like Fruit Salad, you can make Green salads. Take a mix of all your favorite veggies, chopped with salt and a dash of lemon.. Have this before lunch and they’ll keep you full for a long time.

Have a cup of Salted or boiled peanuts. It provides you with the good amount of nutrients and keeps you full as well.
