2. Buy a straightener for your hair length and make sure it is of the ceramic kind - it will burn your hands otherwise! Use a heat protector spray to prevent heat damage - It is easily available in the market!

3. Test an inconspicuous strip of hair following the instructions provided.
If there are any adverse effects when testing the product, discontinue use immediately.

4. Divide your hair into horizontal sections as though you were putting it half up. The more hair you have, the more sections you will need. Clip each hair section up, leaving the section closest to the base of your neck loose.

5. Apply hair straightening treatment to your hair starting with the section closest to your neck. Begin at the roots, and work your way down. Use a fine-tooth comb to evenly spread the treatment from roots to ends.

6. Leave the treatment on for about 15 to 20 minutes before blow-drying on high heat to seal the treatment. Brush hair as you blow-dry to ensure that it dries straight.

9. Once done, use a serum to keep the frizz away.Wash your hair no sooner than 48 hours after straightening. The longer you leave the treatment on, the more effective it will be.

It is always wise to consult a hair care professional before taking on any do-it-yourself hair treatments.
