Many of us have a doubt whether TEA is good for health or not.

As our Medical books always say, a Medicine or food doesn't have the same effect in all individuals, and vary from person to person, but not so much, but to a small extent

Similarly use of Tea has some advantages and disadvantages according to age and gender of the individuals..

Am not going to tell u here the components of Tea and in short the advantages and disadvantages of the components, so that u can decide Tea fits you or not.

Tea leaves have a group of compounds called Catechins, Flavonoids, Theophylline and also Caffiene.
These compounds help in effective functioning of the body and are said to be good for health.

At the same time, Tea leaves have Phytates and Tannates which inhibit the absorption of Iron, which results in Iron deficiency.

Though this Iron deficiency doesnot produce any effect much in Men, it is bad for menstruating girls and women.

So it is advised for these girls and women to decrease the use of Tea.

N if u cant avoid tea, Just have Tea 2 hours before or After food, so that the Phytates and Tannates do not decrease the Iron absorption frem your Food..
