Ingredients of Kalkals

2 cup semolina
2 teaspoon powdered black cardamom
2 cup all purpose flour
3 cup sugar
1/4 tablespoon butter

6 beaten egg
2 cup grated coconut
1 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup ghee

How to make Kalkals

Step 1

In a bowl, mix rava, maida, eggs, coconut milk, cardamom powder and butter/ Now, knead to a stiff dough. Add water if required.
Step 2

Make small balls and flatten them using a fork. Heat ghee in a pan over moderate flame and fry till the kalkals turn golden.
Step 3

Meanwhile mix the sugar with 3 cups of water and place over moderate flame. When the syrup starts to thicken, remove and dip the kalkals.
Step 4

Roll the kalkals in the grated coconut and keep aside to dry. Serve when cooled
