Learn the art of French parenting

Here is the gist of the old school parenting style that's been quite in talks lately

There isn't any doubt about the fact that new generation believes in self-improvement. Same could be the reason why French-parenting is coming into talks. New age parents; if not want to act; at least surely want to feel conscious enough toward how well they are performing their duty as parents. Surf a bit of net and you'll know, French parenting is on blogs, in discussions and in books that are on bestseller lists. So here we try to give a gist of why French people boast of having the secret of raising their children right, and what is that they do to make their children sit quietly at the dinner table in a restaurant instead of jumping on your soup bowl or spill your plate in your lap.

The following are some of the important beliefs of the art of French Parenting.

-Children must learn and firmly believe in basic courtesy. Educate them with 'hello', 'goodbye', 'thank you' or 'please' and make sure it comes as a part of their regular vocabulary.

-No matter how much you love your kids and are there with all your one hundred per cent, they must know 'Who's the boss'. Give them the 'big eyes' (a stern look of disapproval) when needed.

-Children must know how to wait. They must understand that things in life don't always come served on a platter and for that a parent should learn to say 'No'. Don't give in to your child's demands each time.

-Let them learn how to handle frustration. It's observed that French kids learn very quickly to sleep quietly through night; and the secret is - their parents don't go rushing to pick them up every time they cry during nights.
