Welcome to Penmai...Yuga.

If your son is of the correct weight for his age, ie., if he is not underweight, then there is no problem.

Many children will look very lean, but will be of the ideal weight. So, you need not worry for this.

Till their adolescent age, they will look very lean. But after that, ie., after their 12 years, they might build up and look appropriate.

This happened in my son's case.

Sometimes, if the child is suffering from any worms in the stomach, then they might look very lean. So, please check out for this with the doctor. For this, you may regularly give the de-worming tablets in the intervals prescribed by the doctor.

You can give the soaked வெள்ளைக்கடலை sundal very often. This will increase the weight. But once in a week don't forget to give him the இஞ்சி சொரசம், since it is gas producing product.

And for your reference, you may please click the below link in which lots of healthy food items are given.

Hi Yuga,

In my previous post, I have given a link of a thread (the letters will be blue color) . Please click that and in that thread I have given lots of tips and the necessary products to be given to children.

For all the healthy food products, which the children doesn't like to eat, we need to tell as - eating this food will give you good eye sight, you will be strong like Chota Bheem, you can play very well, you can study very well, you can grow tall.....and everything like this.

Telling like this will tempt them to eat. And the given food product must be attractive and everytime you need to change the shapes (of dosa , chappathis) and way of presenting them. ie., one time you can add little grated carrot, one time you can add grated coconut....like this.

And making this Inji sorasam is very easy.

Take 1 glass of water in a vessel. Clean the big size ginger and remove the outer skin.

Now grate it(சீவவும் ) in that vessel.

Bring it to boil and keep the stove in sim mode. Leave the water to boil atleast for 5 minutes.

Now the quantity of water will get reduced and the water will become yellow.

Now, switch off the stove. Drain the water and give this to your son.

It will be little காரம். so, after drinking this, keep one spoon of honey and give him immediately. so, hereafter, he will not make any fuss to drink it.

This inji sorasam can be given not only to the children, but all the elders can also drink it once in a week. It is a natural gas reliever and increase the appetite.
