Hi Friends

Food is the most integral part of our life....be it nutrition, taste , color, flavor, fun etc., we try many new things.

The first place where we are the most innovative is our Kitchen. Once stamped as a lady's department has now become a place for relaxation to most men and I have seen them taking over the operations on holidays.

We have been searching for new options to impress our family and to ensure their health.

The moment one opens this forum will feel thrilled by the numerous posting given by our friends.

Still I thought that we should have an option to find out newer alternatives. In this time constrained life one has to really push themselves to scout for new options.

In order to simplify let us use this tread to ask for any recipe ....

Together with all the friends in Penmai we will find them for you and post it....

Example - Super Fast Snacks for Children....this is one struggle every mother will have to face every day especially when they have young school going kids....the snack has to be nutritious and be able to prepare in the minimum possible time...

Friends start asking for the recipes of your choice...veg or non veg....in English or Tamil.....we will find a solution.....I am sure that this will become another platform for interaction among us.....

Super fast snak:

Noodles bonda:

incredients:

1.Maggi-1pkt
2.Gram flour(kadalai mavu)-1cup
3.Rice flour(arisi mavu)-1/2cup
4.Onion -1(finely chopped)
5.Chilli powder(ungaluku karam evlo venumo avlo)
6.Asafotida
7.Salt
8.Oil-for fry the balls
Method:

1st noodles(with onion) seithu thaniyaga eduthuvaithu kollavum.piragu oru pathirathil kadalimavu arisimavu salt chilli
powder asafotida ellam serthu bajii mavu padhathil karaithu vaithu kollavum.
next step noodles siru siru urundaigala uruti ennaiyil porithu edukavum.
serve with tomato sauce

kuzhandhaingaluku noodles um romba pidikum so indha snaks um romba pidikum
ungaluku venumna vegetables(beans carrot -finely chopped) noodles seiyum bodhu serthu kollalam

noodles ore madhiri senju saptu bore adichuthu ipdi panni parthen
romba nalla vandathu frnds neengalum try panni paraunga 10mins than achu.


next step noodles siru siru urundaigala uruti ennaiyil porithu edukavum.
serve with tomato sauce

Very nice and useful thread... I like to know how to make crispy Chilly Gobi in our home itself? I tried many times. But most of the times crispy ah illama, vatha vathannu poiduthu.

Hotel la ellam irukara mari nalla moru morunu tasty aana chilly gobi seiyarathu epadinnu yaravathu solreengala

chiili gobi crispy ah varathukku sila tips solren. first, maida and corflour ratio correct ah irukkanum. ratio is 1:0.5. intha ratio correctah irunthale padhi vela mudinchurum. second, cauliflower flowrets ah direct a thannela pottu kodhikka vidama, nalla alambittu steam pannina, thanni vitturum. sodha sodhannu irukkadhu. third, heat flame. if the temperature is too hot, it will brown, low temperature will separate the cauliflower and batter. Right temperature will turn florets crispy on outside and slightly soft on inside. ippo try panni parunga aparna nalla crispy ah varum.

Super Fast Snacks for Children

Chapati Bhel


  • Chapatis - 2
  • Green Chili(finely chopped) - 1
  • Tomato (finely chopped) – 1 small
  • Onion (finely chopped ) – 1 medium
  • Peanuts(roasted) – 2 tbsp
  • Aaloo Bhujiya – 3 tbsp


  • Tamarind Chutney – 3 tbsp
  • Coriander Chutney – 3 tbsp
  • Chili Powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves(finely chopped) – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

    Method :



  • Take the chapatis, could be fresh or even leftover.
  • Heat a griddle & roast the chapatis. The chapatis should be crisp.
  • After the chapatis are cooked, let them cool.
  • Now crush the chapatis into small pieces, add salt, tomato, onion, chili powder, chopped green chilis, peanuts, aaloo bhujiya, both the chutnies & mix well.
  • Now sprinkle coriander leaves to garnish & serve in a platter.

    Try this one. its really simple and yummy.

Anitha thanks for your tips pa. Enga veetla Maida sethu senjathu illa. Intha method la try panren.

Cauliflower Nan nalla water la kothikka vittu than vadikattuven. appadi panna koodatha.
