Pre Menstrual syndrome(PMS) is the common occurance on most 80% of women on a regular basis, as a part of Menstrual Cycle.

What is it?

PMS occurs only in the Leutal Phase, i.e., between the Ovulation period and the starting of the menstrual bleeding and stay a day or two during the menstruation.
You are said to have mild or no symptoms if your body doesnot react strongly with the regular monthly harmone changes during periods. If your body reacts to the harmonal changes which distrupts your Emotional behaviours with others, or sense of well-being, then you might have PMS.

Physical Symptoms:

  • Bloating, Water Retention.
  • Changing in the Bowel Movements
  • Tenderness/Swelling in the breasts
  • Nipple Discharge when pressed/squeezed
  • Acne,Sweating
  • Food Cravings - salt and sweat
  • Weight Gain
  • Insomnia, Fatigue, Lack of Energy
  • Decreased Sexual Pleasure
  • Migraines,Pain in the lower back, Cramps,Muscles and joint pain
Emotional Symptoms:
  • Depression,Sadness, Lonliness
  • Good for nothing thoughts
  • Aggression, Withdrawal from the Family members
  • Anger, irritability
  • Mood swings
  • Anxiety
  • Inablity to concentrate.
The Severe PMS is called PMDD-Pre menstrual dysphoric Disorder
