As long as the blisters are there, you’ll get newer ones because its very tough to avoid scratching due to the urge of itching. To help ease the symptoms of an uncomplicated case of chickenpox, follow these self-care measures.
chickenpox.jpg Scratching can cause scarring, slow healing and increase the risk that the sores will become infected. If your child can't stop scratching:

  • Put gloves on his or her hands, especially at night
  • Trim his or her fingernails.
  • Use cool compresses, even ice packs, to ease the discomfort of itching.
  • Take baking soda or oatmeal baths to relieve itching.
  • Take plenty of rest, bed rest.
  • You are a carrier of infection and should not step out of your home to protect your family and friends from chicken pox.
