Size plays a role in cancer--- ovarian cancer

Your risk of developing ovarian cancer may depend on your height and weight, according to new research by the University of Oxford, UK.

The researchers found that for women over 5 feet tall, every two inches of added height upped their risk of ovarian cancer by about 7%. Similarly, every two and a half-point increase in BMI above 20 increased the risk by 10%.

The researchers feel that the reason could be that the larger the body, the greater the number of cells at risk of developing cancer. Levels of certain growth hormones in your body may also play a role. Watch out for symptoms like abdominal or pelvic pain, abdominal bloating, postmenopausal and rectal bleeding.
