Stretch marks
Stretch marks are mainly caused by the stretching of skin due to weight gain in pregnancy. They usually appear as pinkish or reddish streaky lines on abdomen, legs, breast, thighs and hips, wherever weight is gained.

Prevention or Cure
Stretch marks are permanent, but the color will get faded after child birth (after 5-8 months).

No treatment is there to avoid the stretch marks. Nothing can be done to stop them. So its better not to spend money on commercially available creams or lotions.

Pregnancy stretch marks are a natural result of the skin around the abdomen stretching out to accomodate a growing belly. They start out as red streaks and turn silvery over time. It is possible to prevent and reduce the appearance of stretch marks if you act early in the pregnancy. Eat a skin-nourishing diet.

Add the following foods to your daily diet:
  • Foods rich in antioxidants, which help nourish and protect skin. Eat plenty of spinach, blueberries, strawberries, and other fresh fruits and vegetables.

  • Drink 8 glasses of water a day. If you find it difficult to ingest this much water, carry a large water bottle that holds the equivalent of 2 glasses (16 ounces) of water. Refill it 4 times throughout the day, rather than having to refill a single glass 8 times. It will make drinking enough water less of a hassle.
  • Drink herbal tea. Choosing teas without caffeine helps your body stay hydrated, and can alleviate the boredom of drinking only water every day.
  • Eat watery fruits and vegetables. Eating vegetables that contain a lot of water is another great way to hydrate yourself. Eat big salads filled with cucumbers, fresh bell peppers, and celery. Choose watermelon, strawberries, honeydew, and other watery fruits instead of eating baked desserts.

  • Try pregnancy yoga and other low-impact exercises. Yoga and pilates give you an excellent workout without requiring you to move in ways that may feel uncomfortable while you're pregnant.

Hi friends,

Stretch marks once appeared, it will not gone.
Shall we try to control that through our food items, exercise and maintaing our weight only.
If we properly maintain our body, we prevent to get more stretch marks.

Once we get a stretch marks appears in our body, it will not gone completely.
we try to become little fade stretch marks only.(weight management only helps to prevent).
