To beat the heat of the summer, here are some tips about the drinks which you can drink safely while you are Pregnant.

By drinking these, the urination will be free without any irritation (may happen in summer climate). These are very rich in fibre which will ease the digestion and bowel movements.

Plain water


Drink Plenty of pure water. To avoid any diseases, boil the water to 100 degrees, cool it and drink plenty of it. This will help you to avoid the de-hydration during the summer season.

You can take the juice of any fruit like apple, orange, mosambi (சாத்துக்குடி ),pineapple, sapota,grapes,watermelon, muskmelon (கிர்ணிப்பழம்). You can get all the necessary fibre content and the minerals, naturally from these juices.Make it chill and drink.

Lemon juice


The vitamin C rich fruit juice helps you also to tackle your morning sickness. You can take the plain lemon juice,if you don’t have morning sickness. Or if you have, you can add the mint leaves (புதினா ) and make a paste of the ginger. Mix these with the lemon juice and drink thrice a day. Make it chill and drink.

Drinks from the milk based items



All the milk based items are very healthy and will be helpful to beat the heat of the summer.

Vegetable juices


Almost all the vegetables are good for health. You can drink chilled vegetable juices like Beetroot, carrot, Bottlegourd, cucumber, or whichever green vegetable you like. You can make the juice out of these either raw or cooked. You can add some mint leaves and little lemon juice for taste.

You can keep the cut fruits in the freezer for some time and put them in the pure water as it is. Now drink this water whenever you are thirsty. You are using this instead of ice cubes. This will be healthy and will help you to beat the heat also.

In all these above said juice preparations (even while making the buttermilk), always use the pure sterilized water, to avoid any waterborne diseases.
