What is Swine Flu??

Swine Flu is a virus which is commonly found in Pigs. It is a type of Influenza virus which generally does not get transmitted to humans. People who are regularly exposed to pigs are at increased risk of getting the virus. The meat of an infected animal poses no risk of infection when properly cooked. Once people are infected with swine flu virus it spreads to other people through air and enter the body through nose or mouth.

People who are having breathing problems are at greater risk of getting infected

Swine Flu which is scientifically called as H1N1 means Virus hem agglutinin 1 and Virus neuraminidase 1.


Common symptoms of Swine Flu

Here i have listed the most common symptoms of Swine Flu.
1. Fever
2. Sneezing
3. Cough
4. Difficulty in breathing
5. Decreased appetite
6. Running or clocked nose
7. Soar throat
8. Body ache
9. Fatigue

People who visit the crowded places are most vulnerable, se disposable tissues, always cover your mouth and nose while coughing and sneezing, and dispose of your waste carefully. The infected people may have touched the book, phone or computer which you may be using, so try not to touch your eyes, nose and mouth frequently.

Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly is a best way of staying away from the infection. Alcohol-based gel or foam hand sanitizers are very efficient in killing these viruses.

Wearing a well-fitted mask in public places is also advisable. This is most common method to avoid the virus entering your body.


If you think you have got the Virus

If you think that you have the above symptoms, kindly confine yourself into a room and wear a mask and don't go to any public gatherings like office, cinema theater or shopping malls because you may be spreading the virus, and lastly don't panic.
