Hi Renita,

Feel very happy that you want to teach your children to be kind and more good enough.

Yes. It is very much necessary to teach all the necessary kindness and good habits, when they are at a very young age. So that, they will follow them throughout their life.

1. Teach them that the most important words in everyone's life are SORRY, PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
With these words, they can win everybody's heart.

2. When anybody comes to your house, make them to greet those persons with respect, and host them with water.

3. Teach them to be kind to animals, plants along with human beings.

4. Teach them to give respect to all elders.

5.They should be familiar with the words, NO, NOT POSSIBLE etc., so that, they could face the situation when they are in distress. Otherwise, they may break down totally.

6. They should be allowed to do things independently right from their childhood.

7.Teach them that they should never feel JEALOUS about others and should never be GREEDY.

8. Teach them they should not give back answers to elders, and also not to react immediately when somebody is in anger against them.

9. Teach them all the ROAD RULES, and make them follow it always.

10. Teach them to keep the surroundings of the house and all the places outside the house clean, by not putting the garbage any where outside (other than dustbins) or make the surroundings untidy.

Last but not the least, all the above mentioned characters should be followed by the parents , so that, the children also follow them.

Hye.

They should be teached to share things with others.

Children should not steal even a small thing. They should be given awareness for such mischievous things.

Children should be trained for helping the poor.

Children should respect all elders. For that parents should not discuss about relatives negative points in front of children.

Hi,

Nice thread.I would also like to add some more points to this.

Recently i witness in children that their communication with elders especially with the grand parents and friends is somewhat lacking.

I am not blaming but this has now become the trend.A child when he /she talks to anyone must be taught first to convey their regards to the person whomever they are talking with. Also the child needs to be taught the sense of showing empathy to the people they are conversing.

Telephonic conversation practices can be given to the child at home by the parents on how to handle calls recieved from their relatives. The person who are hearig at the other end will also be happy that the child is concerned about them. These things can be taught to them at a tender age and can also make them encouraged to narrate their interest about their hobbies.

After all every human being needs love and concern.Let us gift our children with the noble wisdom of sharing empathy with people as this is required for mankind.

Dear Renita ghosh, you set yourself as a role model to your children. You start to be kind with everybody, every living things so that children always imitate their parents in all the good things as well as bad things. any amount of teaching or showing other examples from somebody's life and all won't help fully. You are the best role model to inculcate kindness in your children's mind. thank you
