Causes Nausea and Vomiting:

Somethings are unclear in this world nausea and vomiting during pregnancy is one among that. The exact cause is still unknown. It may be probably due to changes in the balance of hormones.

It also varies from women to women. Some women feel it only in the morning some others suffer from throughout the day. Some women didn't have nausea or vomiting throughout the pregnancy.

And again, for most women the nausea gets stopped after 3 - 5 months of pregnancy. For a very few, it extends over 5 months.

Some helpful Remedies

To get relief from nausea in the morning:

  • Don't brush up in empty stomach or after having liquids.
  • In the morning have a small snack like dry bisquits.

To get relief from nausea thorough out the day:
  • Eat less quantity of food at regular frequency.
  • Drink plenty of water or juice throughout the day.
  • Include lemon juice when you feel nauseated.
  • Avoid tea and caffeine to your best.
  • Avoid spicy food or fatty foods.
  • Take dry foods such as bread toast, biscuits or salty crackers whenever you feel nauseated
  • Add little quantity of ginger in foods and drinks.
  • Avoid smells that make you feel to vomit

Risk case
Consult your doctor,

  • If you lose weight.
  • If you vomit more than 4 to 5 times a day.
  • If your vomit contains blood or you have concerns about its appearance.

enakku vomit illa but feel vomitting sense in morning.. my doctor suggested to take salty biscuits before going brushing... it works better friends.

Some more remedies for nausea and vomiting during pregnancy



  • Always Get up slowly from the bed.
  • Do not lie down right after eating.
  • Try not to skip your meals at the same time dont fill your stomach at once. Eat small meals or snacks at frequent intervals so your stomach does not become empty (ie, every two hours).
  • Sniffing lemons or ginger can sometimes help an upset stomach.
  • Sip small amounts of fluid often during the day.
  • Avoid drinking fluids during/just before or immediately after a meal.

Earthy: Brown rice, mushroom soup
Crunchy: apple slices, nuts
Bland: Mashed potatoes,
Soft: Bread
Sweet: Cake, sugary cereals

Liquid: Juice, Sukku Coffee
